Born into a family of six in a tiny Texas town, I was raised on steak and kindness and laughter.

Many years ago my soul was forever changed when my father shared with me film photos from his rodeo days in the 1970s. A story in every photo, a purpose with every snap, his pictures made me feel as if I had found something I never knew I lost.

He told me then if I wanted to do something, I should. He also told me to stay away from race car drivers and rodeo cowboys.

What a lovely thing it is to chase your dreams.
